A year ago, a movement toward sweeping skirts was in its “incubation phase,” said Holli Rogers, the buying director of Net-a-Porter, the online fashion retailer. “But by the time we were planning what to carry for spring, long was definitely a full-on trend.” And one the retailer was quick to exploit, its Web site displaying willowy skirts and dresses by the likes of Etro, M Missoni and T by Alexander Wang. • Purchase a cameo ring, necklace, or bracelet. We got ours from Charlotte Russe, but you can find them for under $10 at most vintage stores.
  • If you like the blackened look of Bottega’s, use any black matte nail polish (letting the ring dry in between coats). Or, if you prefer a brighter look, any neon nail lacquer will definitely do the trick.
  • To prevent chipping, lightly apply a thin coat of decoupage glue or paint sealer. [Nylon]
